Zytiga 250mg Tablets

Abiraterone Acetate (often shortened to abiraterone) is a hormone treatment - it belongs to a group of medicines known as anti-androgens. This means that it reduces the amount of male sex hormones (called androgens) that your body produces. In prostate cancer, androgens are produced by your testicles (testes), by your adrenal glands, and in the tumour cells. Zytiga reduces the amount of androgens produced by each of these, and this slows the growth of the cancer.

Abiraterone comes in tablet form that is used to treat metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (prostate cancer that is resistant to medical or surgical treatments that lower testosterone and has already spread to other parts of the body) in men whose cancer has spread to other parts of the body.
